STAR WARS REBELS FIGURES! The Force is DEFINITELY with them!

What are they?

From the above photo, you should be able to see they are the new line of 3 1/4" figures from the new Disney Star Wars Show, REBELS. This amazing series is set just 5 years before Star Wars: A New hope and centres around the crew of "The Ghost". This is my review of the first wave of figures:

What I thought?

The way they are cast and painted are like they're straight from the show, which is how it should be. I heard on a few US postcasts, before I got my figures that usually casting the figures in plastic working from a cartoon is really difficult and I believe they've done a really amazing job.

All the below figures are great and fun to play with, in some circumstances they may seem a little flimsy or I have a few qualms about them (mostly accessories!), but take a look at the below:

The Inquisitor - The details are brilliant, e.g. The Inquisitor has lines going down his face and these are textured on the figure.

I also like how the hands aren't just at 90 degrees when the arms are lifted up, so with weapon in hand he points the lightsaber to his enemy!

Agent Kallus - Another great figure here, as above, has the angled hands.

My only problem with this figure is that I would have liked two more accessories, when I got this, it wasn't clear if his helmet could be removed and I was really hoping it was. Unfortunately the helmet is fixed so we're unable to laugh and point at his mutton chops!

The other accessory I would have liked to see would be the extended Bo-Rifle he uses, so you'd have both modes of the weapon.

C1-10P ("Chopper") - This is a great addition to anyone's Star Wars figure collection, he's so simple, but amazing how a droid can have so much likability and so much personality.

Makers of Star Wars have done it again and followed suit with the originals, giving this droid a great personality and also made him an integral part of the show; be it tinkering on The Ghost or being a downright nuisance!

The figure has brilliant detail and his legs and head are pose-able. Again though I would have liked him to do a little more.. possibly the arm at the front could pop out like in previous versions of R2-D2? Or maybe an accessory to go with one of the other crew of the Ghost? Just an idea.. maybe they'll bring this out in the new waves?

Kanan Jarrus - The Jedi of the crew, again this figure is a great representation of Kanan on the show. His lightsaber is brilliant, but again, cos I think I'm just a little greedy, I would have liked to have had a non-ignited saber as an accessory too. This would have opened up gameplay a little more. A really nice figure nevertheless, and again the hands are angled so he holds out the saber to fight.

Garazeb "Zeb" Orrelios & Stormtrooper Mission Pack - This was actually the first figure I managed to pick up. For some reason the first wave was this, the two droids from the first official episode AFTER the mini movie and a load of re-released figures in new packaging from the other two trilogies.. Weird. Just a teaser I guess. This is probably my least favorite figure which is sad as Zeb is probably my favourite character of the new crew. The reason for this is due to the colours, his eyes are just TOO luminous green! and he's not chunky enough! Zeb's quite stocky in the series but he's a little too thin here! I like that they're given him the Bo-Rifle in blaster-mode, although, I would have liked a staff version too.

The Stormtrooper included in this pack is very cleverly done, great details again and I like that they've somehow made them look cartooney.. very clever indeed. Again angled hands, helping how they look when holding weapons!

Ezra Bridger - Ezra is probably my son's favorite and was the first one to be opened. He only comes with a helmet, but it's a great accessory, it fits on his head nicely and is also quite detailed. Annnnnnd, again I have accessory problems, I feel he should have had another assessory.. maybe another helmet to play on the collectors side of Ezra.. or maybe even his backpack? Take note Hasbro! Idea's for the next waves here!!

All of the figures above are available in the Disney Store, for £7.00 each, apart from the Zeb mission pack which was £10.00. It seems like they are ONLY available at Disney Store too, which is a shame as I feel they could fly off the shelves elsewhere, Disney get the last say I suppose, and it makes them more VIP I suppose.

All amazing figures and no Rebels' fan should be without them! And here's a tip, if you find a Chopper figure, DO NOT open him! or at least buy two, as I've heard he's pretty rare!!
