Star Wars TARKIN on Paperback! Half Book Review!

TARKIN is a new book published by Random House. Written by James Luceno. Jacket Art by David Smit.

What is it?

It's more CANON! for the Star Wars Universe of things which "Happened!".

This book centres around the infamous Grand Moff Tarkin and illustrates his rise to the top and touches on some of that relationship between himself, Darth Vader and the Emporer!

What I Thought

So, from the first two chapters, it's clear how influential our friend Willuff Tarkin is. He totally changes the Imperial uniform, which in itself is a great homage to Peter Cushing as it references the need for good looking boots rather than the way they fit! And as all great fans know, poor Peter endured so much pain to hos tiggies that for some scenes it's become known he was wearing slippers!!

The Verdict

Unfortunately I've not gotten around to reading the whole book yet, but for the time being it's taking quite a military way of writing, which for me is quite different to read. This book would definately suit lovers of the Imperial faction!

A good but different read so far, DO give it a go!!

Tarkin will be out on paperback from July 3rd! Priced at RRP £8.99

I will get round to reading this in full very soon, but for the time being I have another great read on the go! Look out for that review soon!
