So, every year the supermarkets tease us with lots of savings, cut prices etc for the Easter months. Asda is of course on board and putting some great items on offer, see below for some of the toys in the sale!!
There are also some Disney themed plates, cups, bowls and cutlery on offer, as well as a load of DISNEY DVD's priced at £10 each or 2 for £13! BARGAIN!! All the best ones usually go quite quick, so go go GO!
Last but by no means least, there are some fantastic Disney books for sale, around the £5 mark.
Obviously a five year old isn't impressed with all of the items on offer so here's just a few and a little about what my son thought of them.
Firstly the below, has to be Star Wars figures! I am absolutely mad on these films and quite a geek with the Expanded Universe (this is basically the rest of the Star Wars world, comics, TV series etc.)
This two pack is plucked from Episode 2 - Attack Of The Clones where our heroes are fighting off the federation droids, and also where Jango (the silver guy pictured) gets beheaded!
There are other two packs available in this series, there are quite a few so I won't list them all here, see below for a link to the Asda website to look at the full range.
Very detailed, and in the old style posability (only at neck, shoulders and pelvis). I'm sure your little one will enjoy every minute of playing with these, and because you get two, you can make up your own scenarios, so it's not a problem if these are (God forbid!) your FIRST Star Wars figures.
Marvel toys including Spiderman are great sellers! Especially with the upcoming "The Amazing Spiderman 2" movie coming out soon! The pictured Spidey figure comes with a radioactive spider and webbing, Spidey is kind of see through and looks amazing when I shined my phone torch through him! "Whoa, das weally cool!" was the reaction from my son.
What the boy thought?
Star Wars -
My son liked the Star Wars figures, unfortunately he didn't go crazy for these initially as he's not a massive fan of Star Wars (I know, I've failed as a father!) :( We did however still have a great time playing with them.
Spiderman -
My son really did enjoy the Marvel figures, he loved pretending the spider bit him and he becomes Spiderman! We also have a few others too, and he even said he wanted more of these! So thanks very much Marvel...I'm gonna be skint very soon! Payday's coming up fast though, so I may be able to oblige!
The Verdict!
Some great looking figures and posable enough for little boys, what I mean by this is that so many new figures are sold on their posability but sometimes they are TOO posable and you end up with a ball of figure (cos little boys think it's funny..which it is, but not really the way you should play..)
The above are available in-store AND online from 31ST MARCH, go to www.direct.asda.com to see the entire range!
