What is it?
A new Star Wars Novel, placed in the Legends category, which takes place between Star Wars: A New Hope and Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back. It's written by James S A Corey (Daniel Abraham & Ty Franck) and the art on the cover is by Alan Brooks.
What I Thought?
Centered around Han Solo and a mission to retrieve a spy who has gone MIA deep in Imperial Territory.
Solo soon gets himself into more trouble than was expected and soon get entangled in a much bigger story with a threat which could mean certain doom for the Rebellion and the rest of the Galaxy!
Accompanied by the ever faithful Chewbacca and Scarlet Hark (the attractive Spy) they set off in a whirlwind adventure which keep you on your toes. Later on joined by Princess Leia, raises hidden relationship niggles, the first of many!
It gets a little confusing as there's a bit of a love triangle going on.

The writer does an amazing job of getting, not just Han and Chewie's relationship, but the Princess and even the Falcon! Bless her, she has a tough old time!
There's thrills in this and lots of great references to the films throughout, the humour is great and you can hear every character talking in your head as you read!

As for the story, it was ok..I only say that, although very clever, the threat I think was just a bit too large for this universe..
The Verdict
Extremely well written and very difficult to put down!
