What is it?
Its a boardgame, based on NOT laughing at jokes. The idea is, you go round the board by not laughing or even smiling at jokes which are told by other players. Extremely simple rules, you'll be playing in minutes.
You get the joke cards, game board, counters and microphone. The microphone has four buttons, which do the following: funny phrases, farts or burps, canned laughter and timer.
What the boy thought?!
So, I think my son was a little too young for this game (he's 5) however he did REALLY enjoy it. At one point it was so funny, my Dad started reading the joke 'what is a bird that's always tired?' and my son for some reason just shouted out 'PUFFIN!!' And started laughing! Well that was it we were all rolling up, we just couldn't understand where he'd heard the joke before!! Again there was another laugh like this too, the joke was 'where would you find a turtle with no arms or legs? And this time it sounded more like a question from my son "where you left it??" SO funny, you had to be there to appreciate it!
Again my son whipped us somehow! So he loved it, there where ALOT of laughs throughout.

The Verdict!
The initial reaction to the game wasn't too great unfortunately, as the advert sold this game to me by the microphone's silly voice feature (magic microphone) This, as is turns out doesn't work as a microphone. Apparently the voice part of the microphone on the advert was an exaggerated example of the funny phrases button. So I was a little let down by this. Also the jokes used were just terrible: The kind of jokes you find in Christmas crackers and everyone around the table groans at the punchline, It took a few turns for the adults to just read out the joke without guessing what the punchline was going to be...
The above being said though, we were actually laughing throughout, any good comedian will probably tell you it's all in the delivery of the punchline, this would be fact I believe. I don't think there was a joke we didn't laugh at and turned out to be quite fun, even for 3 adults and a kid that doesn't "get" jokes!!
For 2-4 Players from age 8+, RRP: £19.99.
