Disney Infinity 3.0 STAR WARS!!! GAME REVIEW!

What is it?

What is it? Do I really have to spell it out for you? It's the newest version of the "Toys Come Alive" sensation that is DISNEY INFINITY! In the first two versions we saw statuettes of our favourite Disney characters come alive by placing them on a special platform. It sent them straight onto our screens and you can either play in a "Toybox" of sorts where you can quite literally build your own world/levels adding in pieces of scenery and baddies to interact with.

Another great thing about the Toybox is that you can share yours and even download your friends' ones!

The other mode, uses playsets which you can buy separately which come with a few extra characters. These are basically missions with TONS of mini games and other tasks which follow the story of which ever set you've purchased.

Now, on to the product at hand, THIS version 3.0 is centered around...drumroll please!... STAR WARS!!! WHOOP!! WHOOP!!! **SINGS** "OHHHHH WHAT A FEELIING, WHEN YOU'RE DANCING ON THE CEILING!!.."

Ahem! Yeah so, Star Wars Infinity 3.0, in the box as per the pic above, you'll find:

The Game
The portal/platform
World Game Piece
Two figures (Ahsoka Tano & Anakin Skywalker) from The Clone Wars TV series!

What I Thought

Firstly, the World Game Piece for "The Twilight Of The Republic" looks awesome! on the front it has the Jedi Emblem and on the back are crossed sabers! Anakin Skywalker and Darth Mauls to be exact. It looks like a kind of crystal and looks great when lit up on the platform.

The figures you get are masterfully cast, they use the style which is quite close to the Clone Wars TV series, so detailed and therefore look awesome on a shelf when they're not in play.. I have a good mind to collect ALL of these JUST because they are SO collectible! and at only RRP £12.99 each for a statue as detailed as this, it's really worth it!

The most AWESOME PR that provided me with this product also very kindly sent YODA too! Probably my most favourite character of ALL of the Star Wars films and franchise! Look at him! The detail is incredible and to play him in the game is amazing!! Just like in Episode 2 where we see him go up against Count Dooku, he jumps all over the place, you can do that in the game!

The game itself is just as good as the characters which are included! A full range of moves and specials, and the plus of being able to upgrade your character by completing the stages and collecting gems from fallen foes! There's so much to collect and so many little challenges to complete as well as following the main story tasks. When you think you've done a level, there's still the other challenges to complete before you move on. OR you can just move on :)

The worlds you explore are gorgeous, colourful and a little cartoony, they harken back to the Clone Wars. There are vehicles to ride on too which are also really good fun.

My son loves this game and already has said he wants more characters! Lives in the game are pretty much unlimited as when you die you have the option of putting a different character on the platform, obviously the more you have, the more lives you have, then once you've used them all, you just have to start the level again. I should also lastly add that the games themselves maybe dependant on the system, however the characters are versatile across all systems! So swapping and sharing with friends is completely possible!

The Verdict

This is an amazing game with so much potential playing time, aswell as collectability of the characters, and expanding the stories with the extra playsets is a great bonus. I love the Toybox too as it keeps my little man creative and lets his mind go nuts!

Well worth the RRP £39.95 price tag, and this will come down soon anyway. Seriously, get yourself  a set and as many of the characters as you can afford!

Available on Xbox 360Xbox ONEPS3PS4 and Nintendo Wii U ; versatility is something Disney are REALLY aiming for.

MAY THE FORCE BE WITH YOU!.. ALWAYS!
