So,
The Force is nearly with us.. it's been over 10 years since the last movie,, and I tell ya.. I can NOT wait for this one. I have my ticket booked for my local cinema, and I am hoping that it won't be full.. BUT, just to be sure I get my seat, I'll turn up about an hour early.. is that enough?? oooh, I hope so..
If all goes well, I'll be asking questions and taking notes from people in the "line" if there is one.. otherwise I'll be asking people going in to the next showing. I'll also hopefully be following up with some people when they come out to get their views.. I WILL NOT be spoiling anything for ANYONE on my blog here, Literally comments, nothing specific!
So far, I've not been spoiled and it's SO hard not to go on twitter.. I used to post all things Star Wars and also message my SW friends on the various podcasts.. unfortunately I'll be stopping this, I've probably already stopped doing this at the time of posting. Twitter is just too mental, and spoilers are everywhere!! Facebook will also be a nightmare, so again.. I'm OUT!
In other news
It also seems the Force is awakening in my office too, colleagues who I've been pushing Star Wars onto in the past, have now suddenly started talking about it openly to the rest of the office! It's amazing!
I've always talked about lightsabers and Star Wars to one particular guy and together we've had friendly banter about some possible new characters, see below, BUT the amazing this is he had NEVER seen Star Wars before! so had NO idea of any of the original characters names, I'm also pretty sure he doesn't know about the Vader/Luke connection.. we'll soon see.
The night before last he watched A New Hope, and I've just been informed that last night he watched MOST of The Empire Strikes Back! I'm so pleased for him! He seems to really like it! One more Star Wars fan in the pot! BOOM!
The Postal Force Is With Us!
Right, so this is also a cool bit of news. I always go to the post office as I sell Kaibur Crystal Props on Ebay, so as I usually do because I don't trust myself I was using the cashier windows. And I got this guy.. always seems moody, never smiles and sounds really condescending! HOWEVER..
I asked about the book of Star Wars stamps.. and it was like his whole world lit up.. we then had like a 10 minute chat about Star Wars and the new film and when and where he will be seeing it with his son.. GREAT! I made a friend! hehe.. The "Wars" really does bring people together.. and to completely disagree with Master Yoda:
Star "wars not make one great".. ACTUALLY IT REALLY DOES!
